This year, RUANG had the honor of hosting one of its largest events yet—the SIRIM Retro Raya Celebration at the MBSA Convention Centre, welcoming around 2,500 guests for an unforgettable night of nostalgia, luxury, and festivity.
A Night of Glamour: Black & Gold Elegance
The event was adorned with a stunning black and gold theme, exuding luxury, prestige, and sophistication. Our trusted vendor, Jebat, outdid themselves with breathtaking decorations, including four uniquely designed photobooths that became the highlight of the evening.
From the lavish table settings to the dazzling centerpieces, every detail reflected the grandeur of the occasion. And the best part? Some decorations weren’t just for show—guests could even snack on the ‘jajan’ and ‘ceper’ displays!
RUANG’s Seamless Event Execution
As always, RUANG ensured a flawless experience by providing:

• 4 buffet lines by RUANGMAKAN kept the crowd satisfied.
• 10 specialty stalls featuring Kambing Golek, Satay, ABC, Cendol, Ice Cream Pat Lit, Apam Balik Istana, Cakoi, Malay Nyonya Kuih Corner, Dessert Table, and Laksa Corner—all wiped out by 4 PM!
Surprise Celebrations & Legendary Performances
The night took an exciting turn when legendary pop singer Jamal Abdillah made a surprise appearance! But the surprises didn’t stop there—it was also the birthday of SIRIM’s Chairman, Dr. Khairol Anuar Mohamad Tawi!
The crowd erupted as Dato’ Jamal Abdillah, board members, and SIRIM employees led a heartfelt Happy Birthday performance. The chairman even made a wish on stage, adding a magical touch to the festivities.
A Memorable Send-Off
As the event wrapped up at 6 PM, guests lingered to capture final memories at the photobooths and admire the stunning decor. With food stalls emptied early and smiles all around, the SIRIM Retro Raya Celebration proved to be one of RUANG’s most successful events this year!
